PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY

IMPORTANT NOTICE -- APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED BETWEEN October 15 - NOVEMBER 30, 2018. 


All applications must be submitted online - please log in any time between October 15 - November 30 to submit your application.  (Applications will close on November 30.)


  • Click the Apply Online button below and submit no later than November 30. (You MUST be the parent or legal guardian of the children you are applying for.)  NOTE:  Please fill out a separate application for EACH child.


  • Let's All Have A Merrier Christmas relies on the generosity of donations to provide each child with an article of warm clothing and a new toy.   We cannot guarantee the quantity or quality of items. We will do our best to fill in where needed. 


  • Fill out information for each child age 15 and under; children cannot be over 15 at the time of application. Put correct clothing sizes for each child. You may want to list larger sizes because your child may grow by the time items are picked up in December.


  • You may list up to 3 toy items; value of each toy cannot exceed $30.00.  (Again, we will do our best to match up one of the toy items for your child.)


  • It is very important that you realize that all items must be picked up by either you or the person listed on your application.  (If the person is not listed on your application, they will not be allowed to pick up the gifts.)


  • In order to better accommodate you and make gift pick up more convenient this year, we will have the following pick-up dates & locations available. 

                Jonesport Pentecostal Church - 10 Lamson Road, Jonesport

  • Thursday, December 20 - 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
  • Friday, December 21 - 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

  Washington County Community College Assembly Room - One College Drive, Calais

  • Friday, December 21 - 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. 


  • Due to the volume of children we serve, we cannot deliver.

What happens if I miss the November 30 deadline?
 

Let's All Have A Merrier Christmas 2018


The deadline for submission of applications was November 30.  


A program of this magnitude requires many hours of volunteer work.  As of November 30, we have 526 applications.  Our focus will be to provide gifts to those 526 children.


Last year, over 200 applications came in AFTER deadline which required many, many additional hours of work.  We had applications coming in and people out shopping two days before Christmas!!  At our committee meeting in February, we agreed that in order to work effectively (and be fair to our volunteers who already give up many hours of their own holiday season), we would adhere to the application deadline (October 15 – November 30.)  The deadline information was posted on our website, our Facebook page, emailed to all of last year’s applicants, and sent out in private Facebook Messenger messages. (to avoid any “surprises).


FOR THOSE WHO MISSED THE DEADLINE:

We cannot guarantee it, but it is possible that there may be some left over gifts after we have taken care of those who responded within the application deadline.


If you would like to be put on a waiting list, please email rhonda@merrierchristmas.com and tell us the names and ages of the children. (Please do not specify items/sizes, since we cannot guarantee items.)


If we should happen to have gifts left over, we will email you with a date and time that you can come select one clothing item and one toy per child.
