Making Christmas Merrier for over 12,000 children in Downeast Maine since 1984!

All Good things Come to an End

After 34 successful years, Let's All Have A Merrier Christmas completed its Final Year.

Let's All Have a Merrier Christmas has given its best for the past 34 years, and it is time to close this long, successful chapter.

After many months of weighing all the options, the difficult (but necessary) decision was made last October. Many things factored into this decision. Chronic health issues, many, many hours of missed, precious family time for all involved which grows every single year, and we have just simply outgrown our few faithful volunteers.

In addition, there have been numerous programs that have evolved since Let’s All Have A Merrier Christmas began that serve Washington County Children:

· Community Closet

· Seacoast Mission has a “free shopping” area in Cherryfield for parents to come in and pick out gifts

· Stuff the Bus – Calais, Woodland, Princeton

· Angel Program – Eastport area

· Toys for Tots – Washington County branch through Washington County Sheriff’s’ Department

· Wee Care Program in Machias

We cannot begin to express how much your support and commitment has meant over the years. Every single monetary donation, gift, or volunteering your time made such a difference in the lives of the children involved. We will be forever grateful for that.

We are thankful and proud that just over 13,000 children received gifts of warm clothes and new toys during Let's All Have a Merrier Christmas's run.

Thank you for joining us over the years to make Children's lives a little merrier!!

How It All Started

Let's All Have A Merrier Christmas was started in 1984 by a group of concerned citizens from local churches and other individuals who realized the need of many children in this area.

This program was designed to provide a new toy and a warm outfit to children who will receive little (or in some cases, nothing) for Christmas.

There were some very touching moments during those 34 years.
